PENINSULAENTERTAINMENT™ was formed in December of 2009 and obtained Limited Liability Company status in early 2010.  It's founders, Justin T. Cross, CEO and published writer Naomi E. Bigelow, President/Resident Agent formed the company in response to Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm's action in April of 2008, when she signed into law (with almost unanimous bipartisan support) the Michigan Film Tax Credit which opened up many doors for the Film, TV and Digital Media industries in Michigan.  The State of Michigan began seeing massive growth in productions that had previously been few and far between which also had the added benefit of supporting local businesses, local economy, state employment and local & state tourism.

 

Since that time Michigan has had a new change in leadership which has in turn drastically changed the growing production industries, sending many productions packing. PENINSULAENTERTAINMENT™ is still dedicated to making quality movies right here in the State of Michigan.  While we may not always have the option to do so, at every opportunity, we will utilize industry businesses & professionals who are left in the state for our productions.  We will also continue to utilize local and regional businesses in both daily operations and when in production.

 

While the state and national economies may at times force us to film in other states and countries, Michigan is a beautiful place with a versatile landscape and people and we are here to stay.
