Footpath connection to new traffic lights at school entrance
Earlier this year, the roadworks and traffic lights at the school gates were completed. This has allowed for safer vehicle entrance and exit to our school grounds, and also a signalled pedestrian crossing at the lights, allowing safe pedestrian crossing of Pimpama Jacobs Well Rd and access to the bus stop opposite the school entrance.
This project came at a cost of $1.75m. We are very grateful to the Qld government's contribution, through the Block Grant Authority, of $789 608 towards this project.
Following the completion of the roadworks and traffic lights, the City of Gold Coast has funded a new pedestrian concrete path from the traffic lights, across the railway bridge towards Pimpama City shopping centre. We expect that this new pedestrian path will be completed and available for King's students to use in time for the start of Term 4.
