Qualities We’re Looking For

The ideal VET Coordinator will be:

  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines.
  • An excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and external training providers.
  • Student-focused, passionate about guiding young people towards meaningful vocational pathways.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, able to respond to changing requirements and challenges with practical solutions.
  • Collaborative, working effectively with teaching teams, careers advisors, and leadership to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Knowledgeable in compliance requirements, particularly in relation to RTO standards and school-based apprenticeships/traineeships.

A Certificate 4 in Career Development would be a major advantage.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate the planning, delivery, and evaluation of VET programs within the school.
  • Liaise with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and industry partners to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Support students in selecting appropriate VET subjects and pathways, providing guidance on career and study options.
  • Monitor student progress, attendance, and assessment requirements, intervening early where support is needed.
  • Ensure all documentation, reporting, and compliance records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Promote vocational education and training opportunities to students, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Organise and oversee work placements, ensuring they meet industry and safety standards.
  • Keep up to date with changes in VET policy, curriculum, and industry trends.

This is a Full Time, Term Time Position - Monday to Friday, at our Pimpama Campus.

Your curriculum vitae should include details for;

  • at least 2 recent professional referees (including your current employer)
  • at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

Our PIMPAMA CAMPUS (on the northern end of the Gold Coast) currently has over 1200 students on-site, from Early Learning to Year 12.

King’s LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) offers places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
